Restore Testimony: Bridging the Gap Between God’s Love and Our Pain

As a ministry leader, Restore has proven to be an invaluable tool for both discipling and caring for others.

I have found that there is oftentimes a disconnect between the truths we know about God and life’s struggles and pain. Trying circumstances can appear to loom larger than God. Sin and suffering can feel beyond the Redeemer’s touch.

Restore does not ignore our reality nor does it allow for endless introspection. Instead, it creates space to face our realities afresh and bring them before God, allowing Him to reframe how we view our own stories in light of His greater redemption story. Restore gives participants opportunities to experience the intimate healing and redeeming hand of God.

The intentional way the Restore material walks us through God’s Story encourages rich communion with God. Each section is steeped in deep biblical truth that invites us to both find comfort from God and grow confident in Him. The material equips participants to engage with God’s Word personally, ushering us into conversation with God.

The Bible can feel daunting or confusing, leaving many Christians unsure of how to read it as part of their daily relationship with God. Restore helps equip disciples to engage in scripture independently by both walking through the broad narrative of scripture, while also giving participants the opportunity to sit in specific passages. Time and time again I have witnessed the Spirit of God moving in the hearts of his people as they step out in faith to hear from him through his Word.

This dual focus on the big picture story and intentional passages allow participants to walk away from Restore better equipped to read the Bible on their own, continuing to hear from God through his Word.

I highly recommend Restore, because it equips while also creating space for rich communion with God. Each time I have gone through Restore, it has helped me in ministering to others, while also bringing great personal spiritual renewal.
